Practice update
2021 has been an exceptionally busy year for general dentistry, implants and cosmetic work. We are extremely lucky to have recruited new exceptional staff members to our team They have contributed to our success and expansion, and of course we are very grateful for amazing support and understanding from our patients.
Some of our newest team members are:
Dr Georgiana Sarchiz – Associate Dentist Dr Sarchiz (GDC 237256) qualified in 2017 from Victor Babes, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timisoara, Romania, her special interest in endodontic treatment and periodontal treatment.
Dr Jennifer Taylor – Associate Dentist Dr Taylor BDS (GDC 212617) graduated with honours in Dentistry from The University of Sheffield in 2014. Jennifer has returned home to Barnsley with her family after working and living in Australia.
Dr Nadeem Sabir – Our oral surgeon Dr Nadeem Sabir (GDC 244093) is pleased to accept referrals for Oral Surgery/IV sedation from dental practices throughout Yorkshire and surrounding areas. Dr Sabir has a special interest in oral surgery and implants.
Catherine Lee – Catherine (GDC 140183) is originally from Barnsley and has been in the field of dentistry for 16 years, previously as a dental nurse and for the past 6 years as a dental hygiene therapist, having qualified from Sheffield University in 2015. She is extremely gentle and kind and is very popular with patients.
Jemma Peake – Dental Nurse has joined us with years of experience, she is very calm and understanding and always makes sure to put patients at ease.
Megan Green – Dental Nurse is a great member of our team and has qualifications in sedation and implant nursing. She is a very calm and caring person.
Brooke Smith – Trainee Receptionist and Caitlyn Foster – Apprentice Dental Nurse – we are developing younger team members to help develop our business. Both are excellent assets to our business.
Easing out of COVID-19 & Upstairs expansion
Now that we are eventually easing out of COVID-19 slightly we have expanded by building 3 additional new surgeries, another decontamination room, OPT (x-ray room) and a waiting area upstairs. Sadly we have had to say goodbye to The Hairdresser YULO, Lighten Up Physiotherapy and Flux Beauty to make room for this expansion upstairs.
We are still trying our best to minimise risk to everyone by social distancing where possible and asking patients to continue wearing masks inside the practice ensuring we implement all the safety measures that are required due to being a high-risk environment.
We are welcoming new patients as well as welcoming back long-standing patients. The practice plan scheme continues to be popular for patients who wish to attend regularly.
